How to re-thread a sternum strap on a child’s backpack (re-thread the ladder lock)
On a child’s backpack, it can sometimes happen quickly that the sternum strap gets lost. Don’t worry, this strap can be replaced quickly and easily.

New sternum strap

Step One
You’ll need a new sternum strap.
Step Two
First, thread the webbing between the shoulder straps and the sewn-on webbing on the shoulder straps from the inside to the outside.
Tip: It is important to thread the webbing through correctly, otherwise the strap won’t do its job right and can slip.
Step Three
Then thread the webbing back behind the shoulder straps.
Step Four
Thread the webbing through the ladder lock buckle and tighten it.
