Tents

Tent categories and areas of application

Every outdoor adventure places different conditions on your equipment. The type of tent and construction you choose will depend on the stress, terrain and weather conditions. Our tent categories tell you which models are suitable for which application and what features and functions they offer you.

Trek and Adventure Pro

Extremely robust tents with excellent weather protection for year-round use in cold and windy conditions.

Use:
• North country trekking
• Mountaineering
• All-year tents

Special features:
• Extremely robust materials and workmanship
• High weather protection
• Durable and long-lasting

Waterproof Outer Tent

The outer tent has a triple silicone coating on both sides which increases the durability and tear resistance of the material as well as ensures excellent UV reflection. The material is also waterproof without the use of harmful fluorocarbons (PFC). Raindrops simply bead up and roll off the outer wall. When needed, the seams can be hand sealed using a silicone seam sealer. Additional information can be found here.

Robust Tent Floor

The tent floor is coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for longterm, intensive use. TPU-lamination is very durable and impervious to formic acid – a secretion of ants. Ripstop threads woven into the fabric provide additional reinforcement.

Waterproof Seams

Swelling yarn makes the seams of the outer tent waterproof. When they get wet, these threads swell up in the perforations of the seam and ensure that the tent remains waterproof. You can find more information here.

Optimum Cut

The material of the outer tent extends all the way to the ground to provide optimum protection from all sides, even in adverse weather conditions.

Stable Construction

The Trek and Adventure Pro category combines the most wind-stable constructions. Further information can be found here.

Fast Set Up

Tent styles with external poles are extremely user-friendly and quick to set up. The inner and outer tents are set up together and connected with clips. This keeps the inner tent protected from rain – a huge advantage in stormy conditions.

Practical Ventilation

All of the ventilation options available in these tents can be closed and are easy to operate from the inside. Additional information can be found here.

Waterproof Seams

The seams of the outer tent become waterproof thanks to various seam sealing technologies. In addition to Silicone Seamseal Taping, in which the seams are sealed from the inside with a siliconized seam tape, the innovative Siliconized Bonding is also used. Two siliconized materials are bonded directly to each other and the material no longer has to be perforated through seams. You can find more information here.

Floor Ventilation

The outer and inner tent have an arched cut. This special shape enables better ventilation at the tent floor which improves the tent’s microclimate and reduces condensation.
