BIKE PANTS WITH CHAMOIS

An anatomical chamois can reduce the high degrees (and ongoing) stress on your hips and seat to a minimum. We recommend the use of bike pants with an integrated chamois for every bike tour. VAUDE uses different padding thicknesses and types of foam in order to meet the requirements of different types of riding and to provide an optimal bike experience. There are different versions with regard to foam density and thickness for each seating position.

Bike Pants that fit

Bike pants fit properly when they fit snugly against the body and feel like a second skin. This helps to relieve pressure points and increases your level of comfort while riding. Their requirements vary depending on the weather and season: In summer, your bike pants should be airy and lightweight, and they should quickly wick moisture to the outside. In winter they should provide warmth and be windproof in certain places.

Inner Pants & Outer Pants

There are different types of bike pants with chamois:
Inner pants with an integrated chamois provide better ventilation and they can be worn under a wide variety of overpants. If the chamois is sewn into the outer trousers, the trousers themselves are more robust and durable.

SQlab Chamois

SQlab is a pioneer in the development of high-quality,ergonomic cycling products. Years of experience in saddle development have resulted in anatomical, perfectly adapted chamois for best comfort, especially on longer journeys. The LesSeam inner pants with integrated SQlab chamois are currently offered exclusively in VAUDE bike pants. The minimal use of seams ensures maximum comfort. The pants are made from recycled polyamide to conserve the earth’s resources.

SQlab Pro Performance

SQlab Pro Performance chamois were developed for top riding performance in cross-country, marathon and road cycling. They are designed for high intensity riding in a stretched body position. The thickness of only 4 mm is optimal for longer distances and eliminates the chance of creasing. The chamois is ergonomic and the breathability is extraordinarily high despite the highest density (360 kg/m³). The Super High Density Foam is also certified with Öko-Tex® 100 and the cozy, skin-friendly upper material is bluesign® certified.

The chamois reflects the human form: It’s wide at the back and narrow at the front for a perfect fit for the seat bones.
The chamois is highly contoured and designed for a distance of up to 15.5 cm between seat bones.

The thin padding is firm enough to keep its form and doesn’t get pushed inward when you pedal.
